Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to design, demolish, and construct a new scale house facility and associated truck scales at its municipal solid waste landfill. The work includes demolition of existing structures, extensive earthwork, utility installation, pavement and concrete work, erection of a new building with full MEP systems, and site‑wide erosion and storm‑water controls. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after sealed‑bid submission.
• Demolition of the existing scale house, truck scale, pavement, and 24‑in. & 18‑in. reinforced concrete pipe culverts.
• New construction of a scale house building (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and two truck scales with foundations and approach slabs.
• Comprehensive site work: grading, aggregate base, asphalt and concrete pavements, utility installation (water, sewer, electric, propane generator), storm‑water drainage, erosion control, signage, fencing, and lighting.
• Required bid security of 5 % of the maximum bid, performance and payment bonds, and compliance with all applicable codes and specifications.
