2026 Professional Services - Special Counsel for the Township of Cherry Hill

The Township of Cherry Hill is seeking a Special Counsel to provide professional legal services on an as-needed basis. The selected firm will be expected to review and provide legal advice on Open Public Record Act and Common Law Right of Access requests, subpoena requests, and other legal documents. The firm should have at least 15 years of experience in representing public entities and have two or more licensed professionals on staff. The contract is for a one-year term commencing on January 1, 2026. Key responsibilities include: • Reviewing and providing legal advice on Open Public Record Act and Common Law Right of Access requests • Reviewing and providing legal advice on subpoena requests • Reviewing, drafting, and/or approving legal documents, contracts, deeds, ordinances, and resolutions • Providing other legal representation and advice as deemed necessary and appropriate
