Artificial Turf Installation (Re-Bid) (Bid Discount)

The City of Tampa is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the installation of artificial turf inside of the Tampa Fire & Police Training Center Physical Fitness Field. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, permits, equipment, and site preparation necessary for a full artificial turf installation covering the designated area. The scope of work includes removal and disposal of existing sod, soil, and organic material, site grading and preparation, installation of compacted aggregate base, installation of leveling course, furnishing and installation of synthetic turf, seaming, edging, and anchoring, infill supply and installation, and final grooming, cleanup, and site restoration. • The approximate installation area is 9,186 square feet. • The site conditions may include uneven terrain, existing concrete edges, and utilities. • The synthetic turf system must meet or exceed certain minimum requirements, including being designed for outdoor recreational or landscape use, having UV-stabilized fibers, and having a minimum pile height of 1.5 inches. • The base and sub-base requirements include removal of organic material to a suitable subgrade, installation of crushed aggregate base, and compaction to industry standards. • The installation requirements include laying the turf flat, cutting and fitting it to site conditions, and securing the perimeter edges using approved edging or equivalent.
