Description
The project involves the replacement of the existing stone masonry foundation of the General John Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site and a remedy for related drainage and moisture problems. The project includes stabilization/repair of the first-floor wood framing of the structure and installation of a new historically compatible foundation. The new foundation will be constructed by lifting the home off the existing foundation, demolishing the existing foundation, and constructing a new full basement foundation. Additional work includes repair and replacement of the adjacent root cellar, cistern, and brick paver sidewalks.
