Notice of Intent for Sole Source Justification

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a sole source contract to Southwest Material Handling, Inc. for the maintenance and repair of Government-owned Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) at multiple Naval installations. The contractor will provide qualified personnel, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) on VLMs. The contractor will also provide spare parts kits, phone support, and First-Aid Training. • The contract is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. • The contractor must have proprietary knowledge, technical expertise, and access to OEM parts required to maintain and repair the VLMs. • The places of performance include Naval Air Station North Island, Naval Air Station Fallon, Naval Air Station Lemoore, and Naval Base Ventura County. • Responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting a capability statement in writing to Sheri K.
