Independence Square Streetscape – Phase 2 Project - CITY PROJECT NUMBER 11902-1

The City of Independence is seeking a consulting engineering firm to prepare preliminary engineering plans, right-of-way plans, and legal descriptions for the Independence Square Streetscape – Phase 2 project. The project aims to improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles in downtown Independence. The selected consultant will provide engineering services, including project management, topographic survey, preliminary plan preparation, and final plan preparation. Key aspects of the project include: • Improving traffic flow and streetlighting • Enhancing sidewalks and ADA ramps • Upgrading storm drainage • Implementing bicycle and pedestrian facilities and amenities • Coordinating with the Square Association and the public The City expects the consultant to have experience with similar projects and to provide a detailed project schedule and approach.
