SR 237/I-880 Express lanes Extension

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for the SR 237/I-880 Express Lanes Extension project. The project aims to implement express lanes on SR 237/I-880 and US 101/SR 85 corridors to provide congestion relief and a new travel option for commuters. The selected firm will be responsible for completing the Project Initiation Document (PID) phase and may be awarded additional stages of the project, including Project Approval/Environmental Document, Final Design, and Design Support During Construction. The proposal should include a work plan, project understanding, and delivery efficiencies, as well as information on the firm's qualifications, experience, and staffing. • The project includes multiple phases of work, including PID, PA/ED, PS&E, and DSDC. • The selected firm will be required to comply with VTA's Business Development Program requirements and insurance requirements. • The contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fees (CPFF) contract with a term of one year and three months. • The proposal should include a detailed schedule for completing the major subtasks and a discussion on the overall proposed duration for completing the work.
