DeSoto County Regional (DCR) Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion – Phase 1

The DeSoto County Board of County Commissioners is seeking formal bids from qualified firms and/or individuals to perform the Phase 1 Expansion of the DeSoto County Utilities Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project includes demolition work, site civil improvements, removal and installation of screens, a new flow splitting structure, an extended-air package treatment plant, and other improvements. The contractor will be allowed 550 calendar days for substantial completion and 30 additional calendar days for final completion. The basis of award will be the lowest responsive/responsible bidder. • The project requires a minimum of five similar projects involving the rehabilitation of similar facilities within the last ten years. • Bidders must provide references and demonstrate experience with similar projects. • Prime contractors must possess a current State of Florida General Contractor’s License. • The project includes electrical and control improvements, duct banks, and access manholes. • The contractor must work within specified hours and may request work outside of normal hours with approval.
