Description

The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (NAVSUP FLCPS) is seeking information from qualified sources for the fabrication of a stern tube shaft assembly for the USS Mount Whitney (LCC20). The assembly includes a stern tube shaft, half collars, inboard coupling, shaft sleeves, and flathead machine screws. Interested sources must provide a tailored capability statement, organization information, and documentation supporting their claims. The government may set aside this requirement for small businesses or procure it through full and open competition. • The stern tube shaft assembly must be fabricated according to the provided specifications (DWG 203-446205 REV F). • The contractor must provide services and supplies in accordance with the needed specifications. • The government may consider all small business set-aside categories. • A solicitation may be released at a future date, and it will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, considering the complexity of the stern tube shaft assembly and the fact that it is for a naval vessel, the budget could be substantial. A rough estimate could be in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000, depending on the materials, labor, and other costs involved. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the size and complexity of the assembly, the materials used, and the labor costs.
