Baseline Tennis Center Indoor Court Resurfacing

The University of Minnesota is seeking proposals from qualified responders to resurface ten 78-foot indoor tennis courts at the Baseline Tennis Center. The project includes the professional preparation of the existing Plexi I.W. surface and the furnishing, delivery, and installation of a high-performance acrylic surfacing system. The University has identified a tiered preference for the court system, led by Laykold Advantage, followed by Laykold Colorcoat, and Plexipave H.U. The scope encompasses precision leveling of identified court depressions, the application of a Maroon and Black or Dark Gray color scheme, and the installation of textured yellow custom line paint. The final result must deliver a uniform, elite-level surface with an ITF Court Pace Rating of 33–35. • The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supplies. • The contractor must work with the University Authorized Representative and University of Minnesota Athletics staff on all aspects of the project. • The contractor is responsible for ensuring the mix ratio of silica sand to acrylic binder achieves the required ITF Court Pace Rating range. • The contractor must provide a comprehensive maintenance and care orientation session for University of Minnesota Gopher Athletics facility staff. • The contractor must deliver warranty certificates, as-built dimension verification, a surface touch-up kit, and perform a final joint walkthrough with the University Authorized Representative.
