The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is conducting market research to identify sources that possess the capabilities and experience necessary to provide a dilution refrigeration system. The system should meet or exceed the preliminary specifications provided, including cooling specs, wiring specs, and preference for refrigerators with history of usage in superconducting quantum computing technology research laboratories. Interested companies should submit a quotation, company information form, and any relevant published product literature and/or technical specifications demonstrating compliance. The submission should be emailed to Jane Graves, Sr. Subcontracts Administrator, at [email protected] by March 23, 2026, no later than 3:00pm Pacific time.
• The system should have a cooling power of 1000 uW at 100 mK operating temperature.
• The system should have a base operating temperature of less than 10 mK.
• The system should have a continuous cooling operation of more than 1-week base hold time.
• The system should have 100 flexible microwave lines and attenuation breakout blocks at 4K, 1K, and mixing chamber plates.
• The system should have 8 superconducting readout lines and 8 cryogenic HEMT amplifiers at 4K.
