The State of Michigan is seeking bids for various safety improvements at the Egeler Reception and Guidance Center. The project includes furnishing and installing new pre-finished steel screen panels on the face of balconies and stairs in three cell blocks, removing a portion of the existing rails, furnishing and installing supporting steel members for the screen panels, and modifying the locations of exit signs. The project is expected to last 305 calendar days. • The project requires a performance bond and a payment bond for all contracts over $50,000.00. • The project requires compliance with various standards, including UL, TIA/EIA, ANSI, and NEC. • The project requires firestopping around cables and raceways, and the installation of conduit sleeves and pass-thrus to meet local and national codes.
