Repair of County Bridge H-253 (24-59) (Co. Engineer)

The Lancaster County Engineering Department is seeking bids for the repair of County Bridge H-253, located on Canongate Road in Waverly over Highway 6. The project involves approach slab repair, including excavation, bedding, placing of pipes and/or headwalls, backfill, compaction, and roadway grading. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment, tools, machinery, and labor to complete the work. The project is expected to take 60 calendar days to complete, and the contractor must commence work on or after June 1, 2026, and complete all work on or before August 5, 2026. Some key aspects of the project include: • The contractor must be prequalified with the Nebraska Department of Transportation or have completed similar work for Lancaster County in the last three years. • The contractor will be responsible for maintaining barricades and construction signs throughout the duration of the project. • The contractor must provide electronic working drawings in a Portable Document Format (PDF) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. • The contractor will be required to install erosion and sedimentation control measures, including permanent and temporary measures. • The contractor must ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and special provisions.
