Description

The City of Manchester’s Department of Public Works is seeking firm‑price, per‑ton quotations for a variety of aggregate materials (sand, stone, gravel, loam, sand‑fill) with delivery to designated city sites. The contract is a sealed‑bid, non‑public opening that will run until April 1, 2027, and includes strict compliance with HUD CDBG, Davis‑Bacon, environmental, and labor regulations. Bidders must submit unit prices that remain fixed for the contract period and must be able to deliver emergency orders same‑day and regular stock orders within 48 hours. • Provide unit‑price quotations for each listed aggregate (washed sand, various stone sizes, crushed/screened gravel, sand‑fill, loam, etc.) • Prices must be firm for the contract duration and include delivery cost calculated as net price per ton plus $2.20 per mile (round‑trip) to the city yard • Compliance with HUD CDBG requirements, labor standards, and environmental statutes is mandatory; delivery documentation and MSDS (if applicable) are required for payment

Budget estimate

$300,000 – $700,000

No total contract value is disclosed. Assuming the City purchases roughly 10,000 tons of assorted aggregates over the one‑year period at average unit prices of $30–$50 per ton, the contract value would be in the $300,000–$500,000 range. Adding delivery allowances and potential premium for emergency orders could push the upper bound to about $700,000. Therefore, a reasonable earnings estimate for the supplier is $300k‑$700k.
