"Downtown Danbury Streetscape Renaissance Project - Phase 2b"

The City of Danbury is seeking bids for the Downtown Danbury Streetscape Renaissance Project - Phase 2b. The project includes the removal and disposal of existing streetscape and landscaping elements and the installation of new streetscape features, such as sidewalks, crosswalks, ADA accessible curb ramps, landscaping, street furniture, and more. The selected contractor will be required to maintain access to all business properties and name the property owners as an additional insured on the insurance policy. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on July 7, 2026, and a site walk-through will follow. The last day for questions is July 13, 2026, and bids are due by July 21, 2026. • The project is subject to State set-aside and contract compliance requirements. • The contract is subject to the Connecticut Department of Labor prevailing wages. • Contractors whose bid exceeds $500,000 must hold a current DAS Contractor Prequalification Certificate. • Plans and specifications can be obtained at the Purchasing Agent's office. • The City of Danbury reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the bidder deemed to be in its best interest.
