THT Phase#2, NHDOT#45251 Design Project

The City of Keene is seeking qualified engineering consultants, pre‑approved by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT), to deliver full design services for the Transportation Heritage Trail (THT) Phase 2 project (NHDOT #45251). The scope includes engineering studies, preliminary & final design, permitting, right‑of‑way acquisition, and bid assistance for multiple bridge relocations, corridor upgrades, and trailhead construction. This effort is partially funded by federal Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) and must follow NHDOT’s Local Public Agency Manual. • Upgrade ~1,500 ft of the Cheshire Railroad corridor (drainage, grading, paving). • Relocate and reconstruct the Robert J. Prowse Memorial Bridge over NH Route 101 with new abutments, wing walls, deck, and railings. • rehabilitate an existing stone arch bridge with ornamental railings and upgraded walking surface. • Relocate the Baily Bridge over Swanzey Factory Road, adding parking, ramps, and new concrete deck. • Construct a trailhead at Joskin Station Road with at‑grade crossing, drainage, and paving.
