2025 Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Program

The City of West Des Moines is seeking bids for the 2025 Sewer Manhole Rehabilitation Program. The project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 473 vertical feet of sanitary sewer manholes, including combination cementitious and epoxy lining, chemical grouting of joints and cracks, installation of spray on urethane internal chimney seal material, removal and replacement of pavement, and other miscellaneous work. The project requires the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities. • The project includes the rehabilitation of 31 manholes with urethane chimney seal material. • The project requires the removal and replacement of approximately 213.3 square yards of PCC pavement. • The project includes the installation of new manhole castings and rings. • The project requires the contractor to provide a guarantee of maintenance of the improvements for a period of four years. • The project is expected to be completed by September 26, 2026.
