On-Call Professional Consulting Services for Parks Projects: Vegetation Management (Forestry, Heavy Equipment Use, & Tree Management)

The County of San Mateo is seeking on-call professional consulting services for parks projects, specifically vegetation management, including forestry, heavy equipment use, and tree management. The selected contractor will provide services such as fuel reduction, hazard tree removal, pruning, and pest management. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining daily logs, developing work plans, and coordinating with County staff. The contract will have a term of three years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. • The contractor must have a California C-61/D-49 Tree Service Contractor license and ISA or TCIA certification. • The contractor must have experience in pruning, removal, and wildfire fuel reduction. • The contractor must have a dedicated on-site ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Certified Tree Worker at all times. • The contractor must maintain daily logs of activities, crew hours, tree counts, and before/after photos. • The contractor must develop a work plan with project approach, schedule, and BMPs in consultation with County staff.
