Limited Competition: Biomedical Research Environment & Sponsored Programs Administration Development (BRE-SPAD) Program

The Biomedical Research Environment & Sponsored Programs Administration Development (BRE-SPAD) Program aims to support resource-limited institutions in developing and strengthening their capacity to conduct rigorous and reproducible biomedical research. The program will invite applications from eligible organizations to propose plans based on identified needs in one or more of the following areas: biomedical research environment, sponsored programs administration, and a post-award pilot research project program. The applications will be peer-reviewed, and only meritorious applications will be considered for funding. • Eligible organizations include Historically Black College or University (HBCU), Tribal entities, and resource-limited institutions with limited NIH Research Project Grant Funding. • The program will support research capacity building at resource-limited institutions. • The program will expand and strengthen the pool of faculty and trainees conducting rigorous biomedical research. • The program will support the development of a post-award pilot research project program.
