Valley Water is seeking qualified vendors to supply and deliver 93 % sulfuric acid for use at three water‑treatment facilities in Santa Clara County. The contract is structured on a per‑gallon cost basis, with an estimated annual volume of roughly 600 dry tons (≈150,000 gallons). Deliveries will be made on an “as‑needed” schedule, typically 3,000 gallons per load, with emergency deliveries required within 24 hours. The vendor must provide all necessary permits, safety data sheets, certificates of analysis, and comply with extensive chemical‑handling, environmental, and safety regulations, including NSF‑60 certification and California CARB registration. The agreement is a one‑year fixed‑price contract, with up to four optional one‑year extensions, and a total maximum contract value of about $1.13 M.
