Description

The Delaware Department of Transportation is seeking suppliers to provide reinforced concrete pipe (Class IV) in standard diameters (12", 15", 18", 24", 30") for its North, Canal, Central, and South districts. The contract is a unit‑price, FOB‑Destination supply agreement with a one‑year performance period and optional extensions. Bidders must submit electronic bids only via the Bonfire portal by the deadline, and freight charges must be listed separately. An electronic ticketing system (eTicket) integration is required for each delivery. • Supply up to 1,614 linear feet of pipe across five sizes, delivered to specified maintenance yards within 10 working days of order. • Prices must be firm for the initial year; freight is charged separately per district and must meet eTicket API uptime requirements (99.5 % over 30‑day rolling). • No bid bond or performance bond required; insurance minimums and tax‑exempt status apply. • Bidders may bid on any one or multiple district sections, allowing partial participation.

Budget estimate

$30,000 – $70,000

Based on the provided quantity totals (≈1,614 LF) and the illustrative pipe unit price of $25 per LF, the pipe‑only revenue would be about $40,350. Adding estimated freight charges (minimum $320 per district, roughly $1,200‑$1,500 total) brings the contract value to roughly $41,500–$42,000. Accounting for possible price variations, optional extensions, and contingency margins, a reasonable earnings range for the supplier would be between $30,000 and $70,000 for the initial year.
