Lancer Dr 6818 Storm Drainage Improvement Project

The City of Charlotte plans a comprehensive storm drainage improvement on Lancer Drive. The scope includes replacing existing 16.25’x9.5’ elliptical pipe with new 14’x9’ reinforced concrete pipe, installing non‑standard headwalls, adding new 24‑in. reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), replacing sections of 15‑in. RCP, installing catch basins and junction boxes, plugging and filling approximately 220 LF of 18‑in. RCP, and upgrading about 600 LF of 2’6” concrete and gabion wall. Additional work covers channel grading and asphalt resurfacing. The project value is estimated between $1 M and $5 M, and the contract will run through project completion. The solicitation requires insurance (auto, general liability, workers’ comp, construction bonds) and bonding (bid, payment, performance) from the awardee. • Replace 81 LF of existing elliptical pipe with 14’x9’ reinforced concrete pipe. • Add new headwalls, catch basins, junction boxes, and extensive pipe replacement/repair. • Perform channel grading, asphalt replacement, and plug/fill obsolete pipe segments.
