Emergency Preparedness Program

The State of Wyoming is seeking a contractor to provide support and guidance to public water systems in preparing Emergency Response Plans. The contractor will develop a statewide guidance document for emergency planning, identify a priority list of public water systems in need of emergency response plans, and coordinate with these systems to develop their plans. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The contractor will be required to have experience in emergency preparedness and response, and to have a strong understanding of the needs of public water systems in Wyoming. Key aspects of the job include: • Developing a statewide guidance document for emergency planning • Identifying a priority list of public water systems in need of emergency response plans • Coordinating with public water systems to develop their emergency response plans • Providing technical assistance and training to public water systems on emergency preparedness and response • Developing cost estimates and guidance for funding opportunities • Providing "real-time" assistance to public water systems experiencing threats or impacts to their facilities
