2026 Biodegradable Paper Leaf & Grass Collection Bags

The Cheltenham Township is seeking bids for the supply of 30-gallon capacity biodegradable and recyclable paper leaf and grass collection bags. The contract is for a one-year period, from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027. The successful bidder will be required to supply the bags to various municipalities in Montgomery County, including Cheltenham Township, Hatfield Borough, Jenkintown Borough, Lower Moreland Township, and Lower Salford Township. The bags must be constructed of two-ply, 50-pound, heavy-duty wet strength Kraft paper, laminated together with waterproof adhesive, and must be completely biodegradable and recyclable. • The contract requires the supplier to deliver the bags to each municipality on an as-needed basis during the contract period. • The supplier must provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 10 days of the date of award. • The contract may be extended with the written consent of the bidder. • The supplier must comply with all federal and state solid waste regulations. • The supplier must provide a list of at least three references for similar projects. • The supplier must certify that they will furnish all the materials necessary to conform to the specifications of this bid and will enter into a contract for furnishing all or such parts of the foregoing materials as municipalities may decide to award.
