Description

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is soliciting quotations for the overhaul of emergency oxygen cylinders for the HC-27J aircraft. The contract is expected to be awarded on a sole-source basis to Safran Aerosystems Services Americas, LLC. However, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency. The quotation must include proof of current FAA certification, or OEM, or Air Force approval, to provide the services specified by the schedule. The overhaul of these parts must be accomplished in accordance with the latest revision of the OEM Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) and Statement of Work (SOW). Key points to consider: • The USCG requires the overhaul of 5 emergency oxygen cylinders, with an option to increase the quantity by up to 15 additional units. • The contractor must provide a Certificate of Conformance (COC) with each shipment, certifying that the supplies or services conform to the contract requirements. • The USCG requires delivery of all items within 90 days after receipt of the order, but early deliveries are desired and will be accepted. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to the use of recovered materials, energy-efficient products, and biobased products.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $650,000

The budget for this contract can be estimated based on the scope of work, which involves the overhaul of emergency oxygen cylinders for the HC-27J aircraft. Given that the USCG intends to award a contract for 5 units with an option for up to 15 additional units, the total budget will depend on the cost per unit. Without specific pricing information, it's challenging to provide an exact estimate. However, considering the complexity of the work and the specialized nature of the equipment, the cost per unit could range from $10,000 to $50,000 or more, depending on the requirements and the expertise of the contractor. Thus, the total budget for the initial 5 units could be in the range of $50,000 to $250,000, and up to $650,000 if all optional units are included.
