Description
The Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a contractor to provide parking lot repair, crack fill, seal and stripe, and bollard installation services at the Bell Gardens DMV field office. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel necessary to complete the work. The contract term is 16 months, with a proposed start date to be determined. The contractor must be certified by the State of California, Department of General Services, Office of Small Business and Disabled Veteran Enterprise Services, as a Certified Small Business.
* Key work items include:
* Cleaning existing asphalt surfaces and completing minor asphalt repairs
* Filling cracks with pre-approved rubberized crack filler
* Applying two or more coats of asphalt seal covering
* Replacing and reinstalling broken or damaged concrete wheel stops
* Installing bollards as indicated in the drawings
* Repainting existing painted curbs, arrows, and symbols
* Re-striping all existing spaces and lines
* Removing and replacing disabled persons signage
* Marking motorcycle parking spaces
* Painting handicapped space blue lines centered on top of a six-inch wide white line
