Description
The County of Fairfax is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of spot improvements at the intersection of Backlick Road and Industrial Road. The project includes adding an exclusive northbound left turn lane, constructing a missing link of sidewalk, and installing guiderails, retaining walls, and new signal equipment. The project also involves traffic signal modification and underground detention pipes. Only pre-qualified firms are eligible to submit bids.
• The project requires the construction of approximately 1250 feet of sidewalk on the east side of Backlick Road and south and north side of Industrial Road.
• The project includes the installation of 400 feet of guiderails and 420 linear feet of retaining wall.
• The project involves the replacement of mast arm, signage, and loop detectors at the intersection of Backlick Road and Wimsatt Road.
• The project requires the installation of underground detention pipes.
