Rapid Assured Access (R2A)

The Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) is seeking information from potential sources to provide rapid, long-term assured semiconductor foundry access. The Rapid Assured Access (R2A) program aims to provide a contract vehicle that gives the Department of War (DoW) and defense contractors access to advanced microelectronics manufacturing capabilities. The program seeks to prioritize three outcomes: rapidly deploying technology, increasing production capacity, and securing the nation's future by reinventing the semiconductor acquisition system. • The R2A program will provide access to wafer manufacturing and related services, including mask data prep functions, masks sourcing, wafer fabrication, and other ancillary aspects. • The program will prioritize speed, execution, and agility to resolve current strategic challenges. • The contract vehicle will be administered by DMEA/TAPO, and awardees will provide foundry access to defense contractors and program offices. • The program seeks to work directly with wafer manufacturing foundries supporting fabless design suppliers.
