Herndon Street Landslide Remediation Project

The City of Pittsburgh is seeking bids for the Herndon Street Landslide Remediation Project, which involves the construction of a cantilevered soldier beam and precast concrete lagging wall, full-depth roadway reconstruction, and associated items. The project aims to remediate a landslide and stabilize Herndon Street in the 20th Ward. The scope of work includes drilling, excavation, backfill, guiderail installation, erosion and sediment controls, pavement milling and overlay, and seeding and slope restoration. • The project requires a bid guarantee in the form of a surety bond, certified check, or letter of credit in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids if it is in the best interest of the City. • The project is subject to PA Prevailing Wage Rates and requires compliance with the City's terms and conditions. • The City encourages participation from Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and requires bidders to demonstrate good faith efforts to meet participation goals. • The project includes a liquidated damages provision for delays in completion.
