Description
The Town of Westerly/Westerly Public Schools is seeking a contractor to refinish the gymnasium wood floor at Westerly High School. The project includes a "HEAVY SCRUB & RECOAT" of the wood gym floor, touching up worn, chipped, and damaged painted game lines, and applying two coats of a high solids water-based gym wood finish. The contractor must provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete the project. The project must be completed by August 15, 2026.
* The gym floor consists of all wood flooring, except in areas under permanent fixtures.
* The contractor must follow proper steps and procedures for the refinishing process.
* The contractor must provide maintenance instructions for the floor finish and subsequent recoating's.
* The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to prevailing wage rates, insurance, and safety.
Some key requirements for the contractor include:
* Providing a certified weekly payroll and paying workers at the applicable prevailing wage rates.
* Maintaining insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation.
* Complying with all safety regulations and standards.
* Providing a warranty for the work and materials.
