Operation of the Municipal Marina

The City of Kingston is seeking a concessionaire to operate the municipal marina located along the Rondout Creek in Gallo Park. The marina has 33 individual slips for transient boaters and up to 15 seasonal slips, with a maximum stay of 14 consecutive nights. The operating season is from April 1st to October 15th. The city expects the concessionaire to maintain a high-quality amenity for the public and implement customer service mechanisms to enhance patron satisfaction. Key responsibilities include: • Operating the marina in accordance with city regulations and safety standards • Maintaining the marina and its facilities • Providing services to boaters, including docking, launching, and storing • Implementing a marketing approach to attract boaters • Working with city staff and civic organizations to support annual waterfront activities and events The concessionaire will be required to submit a detailed proposal outlining their experience, staffing plan, marina amenities, and services offered. The city will evaluate proposals based on bid amount, planned operations, proposed capital investment, and nautical or marina operating experience.
