DEMILITARIZATION/MUTILATION AS CONDITION OF SALE (DCOS/MCOS) SCRAP RESIDUE SALE, IFB 33-5060, Grayling Air Gunnery Range, Frederic, MI

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services is offering for sale scrap residue derived from the demilitarization and mutilation of controlled property, estimated at 2,550,000 lbs. The property consists of metallic and non-metallic scrap from a Department of Defense (DoD) range, including practice bombs, expended artillery, small arms, and mortar projectiles. The successful bidder will be required to perform demilitarization and mutilation operations on-site at the Grayling Air Gunnery Range in Frederic, Michigan. The contract period is from April to May 2026, with a 30-day removal period. • The property may include urban combat range simulation items, aircraft fuselages and parts, tanks and parts, and other materials. • The purchaser will be responsible for loading and removing the property, with government assistance not available. • The purchaser must obtain base access and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contract includes provisions for training, demilitarization and mutilation operations, and environmental and safety requirements.
