RFP Borough Auditor - 2023

The Borough of Atlantic Highlands seeks a qualified professional (or firm) to serve as the municipal auditor for the 2023 calendar year and to perform the statutory audit of the Borough’s 2022 financial records. The engagement includes a full suite of audit and related financial services, from auditing multiple fund accounts to assisting with budget preparation and the State Single Audit. Proposers must submit a sealed hard‑copy and electronic proposal by the deadline, provide required certifications, insurance, and ownership disclosures, and meet strict ethical and regulatory standards. • Perform statutory audit of all 2022 fund accounts (Current, Trust, Capital, Harbor Utility, Water & Sewer, LOSAP, Municipal Court). • Prepare and certify the 2022 Annual Financial Statement, Debt Statement, and assist with the 2023 budget and Single Audit. • Provide additional accounting services as requested, with disclosed hourly rates for extra work. • Must have ≥ 8 years experience as a Registered Municipal Accountant, meet insurance and ethical certifications, and submit a “not‑to‑exceed” fee quotation.
