UNLV is procuring a turnkey installation of new classroom telephone and associated fiber‑optic infrastructure across 17 campus buildings. The scope includes: • Installation of emergency telephone devices, conduit (surface‑mount and in‑wall), patch‑and‑paint work, and 5‑in‑2‑5″ deep boxes at each location. • Deployment of a new 12‑microtube backbone and 24‑strand fiber run (TBE Alternate #2) with associated vault routing and trenching considerations (as per addendum). • Coordination with existing cable tray pathways, IDF connections, and compliance with UNLV OIT standards. • Mandatory pre‑bid conference and site walk on 12 Aug 2026; bidders must be qualified public‑works contractors with the Nevada State Public Works Division. • Bids submitted electronically via the NGEM system; required 5 % bid bond, performance and payment bonds, and prevailing‑wage compliance for a project estimated at $300,000. • Extensive documentation required (insurance, subcontractor lists, apprenticeship compliance, etc.).
