NASA JSC Intends to Issue a New Work Modification to the Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services (xEVAS) Contract 80JSC022DA022 (Axiom Space, Inc.) to Add CLIN 5: Hardware Production & Delivery (Sole Source)

The opportunity is for a sole-source contract modification to Axiom Space, Inc. to add CLIN 5: Hardware Production and Delivery to the existing Exploration Extravehicular Activity Services (xEVAS) contract. The contract is for the development and production of a lunar-capable xEVA system, which includes the delivery of xEVA system hardware and software, ground support equipment, test support equipment, and test articles. The contract has a period of performance of 10 years, ending on May 30, 2032. • The contract is an IDIQ contract with Firm Fixed Price orders. • The xEVAS contract is the Agency's existing contractual vehicle for acquiring EVA system capabilities for exploration beyond low-earth orbit. • The addition of Government-owned hardware delivery necessarily results in a change in scope to the contract. • Axiom Space is the only xEVAS contractor currently in active development of a lunar-capable xEVA system. • Interested parties may submit capability statements to demonstrate their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
