Description
The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide three complete truck‑mounted asphalt distributor systems (core‑rig platform, cab‑chassis, and optional camera system) for use on state road‑maintenance projects. The award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder and will be a five‑year contract (one‑year base term with up to four one‑year renewals). Deliveries must occur within 30 days of purchase order issuance, and the vendor must provide on‑site training, full warranty coverage, and comprehensive service literature.
• Supply three truck‑mounted asphalt distributor rigs meeting detailed technical specs (≥ 3,000 gal insulated tank, dual diesel burners ≥ 750,000 BTU/hr, 16 ft telescoping spray bar, computer‑controlled cab).
• Provide three matching cab‑chassis units (Allison 3500RDS transmission, ≥ 285 hp diesel engine, required safety and lighting equipment).
• Deliver optional camera systems, on‑site operator training (minimum two‑day), warranty (12 mo unit, 48 mo engine, 24 mo transmission) and full documentation.
