Description
The State of Michigan is seeking a professional services contractor to provide design and construction administration services for the conversion of Housing Unit B at the Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan. The project includes multiple phases, including Preliminary Design, Final Design, Construction Administration - Office Services, and Construction Administration - Field Services. The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete design based on the approved project/program statement and will be required to assume responsibility for all professional services offered in their proposal. The contractor will also be required to provide a detailed work plan, schedule, and budget for the project.
• The project requires the contractor to have demonstrated experience in the successful planning and execution of similar projects in full accordance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations.
• The contractor will be evaluated based on their Technical Proposal - Part I, and Cost Proposal - Part II, with the Technical Portion - Part I accounting for 80% of the evaluation and the Cost Proposal - Part II accounting for 20%.
• The contract will be awarded to the professional firm that has been recommended by the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee after their evaluation of the combined Part I - Technical and Part II - Cost Proposals.
• The contractor will be required to provide a Certification of a Michigan Based Business and the Responsibility Certification forms.
• The contractor will be required to assume responsibility for all professional services offered in their proposal, whether or not they possess them within their organization.
