Service Area 4b: Justice Involved Youth Services In-Custody Services that address vocational training, job skills and employment.

The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide culturally responsive, evidence-informed services to justice-involved youth and emerging adults. The selected respondent will provide in-custody services that address vocational training, job skills, and employment. The services should be designed to reduce recidivism, improve social and life skills, and increase educational and vocational attainment. The proposal should include a detailed plan for delivering these services, including the types of services to be provided, the target population, and the methods for evaluating the effectiveness of the services. • The proposal should demonstrate an understanding of the Principles of Risk, Need, and Responsivity and the importance of family engagement and natural supports. • The respondent should have experience in providing similar services to justice-involved youth and emerging adults. • The proposal should include a plan for ensuring cultural competence and responsiveness to the needs of the target population. • The respondent should be able to demonstrate the capacity to provide services in a trauma-informed and restorative manner.
