Description
The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a qualified contractor to design, supply, and install playground equipment, surfacing, and site furniture at Flanagan Park. The scope includes delivering two illustrated design concepts, providing engineered wood‑fiber or artificial turf surfacing, handling freight and installation, and meeting federal CDBG, Buy‑America, Davis‑Bacon, and ADA requirements. The contract is a fixed‑unit‑price, not‑to‑exceed agreement with a performance period that runs through May 31 2027, requiring completion of installation by the end of 2026.
• Provide one set of playground equipment per chosen concept, including freight, delivery, and installation.
• Install either engineered wood‑fiber or artificial turf surfacing per the selected concept, meeting ASTM F1487 and IPEMA standards.
• Supply and install site furniture (benches, trash receptacles, pet‑waste stations, etc.) while the City provides basketball goals and other ancillary items.
• Comply with CDBG requirements: Buy‑America, Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage, Section 3 labor goals, and all applicable environmental, safety, and warranty obligations.
