Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Transition to Wired RaycoWylie LMI Configuration - Craft Portal Cranes

The US Navy is seeking sources for a wired Load Moment Indicator (LMI) system to support the primary portal crane class (Craft) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) II at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF (PSNSY). The system must be fully wired, integrate seamlessly with the existing crane architecture, require no new training, and utilize the same diagnostic tools and software interfaces as the current system. Interested parties must submit a Capability Statement, limited to 5 pages, that addresses the technical constraints outlined in the notice. • The system must meet physical and electrical safety requirements. • The system must integrate seamlessly with the existing crane architecture. • The system must require no new operational or maintenance training. • The system must utilize the same diagnostic tools and software interfaces as the current system. • The system must not introduce duplicative spare parts warehousing requirements.
