Description
The United States Coast Guard is soliciting proposals for the CGC FORWARD AA DS FY26 project, which involves dockside repairs to the USCGC FORWARD (WMEC 911) vessel. The project includes various work items such as tank cleaning and inspection, preservation of ship structures, and renewal of countermeasure washdown nozzles and piping. The contractor will be required to perform the work at the Coast Guard facility in Portsmouth, VA, and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The project is expected to last for approximately 3 months, from April 1, 2026, to June 30, 2026. Some key work items include:
• Cleaning and inspecting tanks, including aviation fuel service and ballast tanks
• Preserving ship structures, including decks and watertight doors
• Renewing countermeasure washdown nozzles and piping
• Performing operational tests and demonstrating satisfactory operating condition of all items or shipboard devices that have been disturbed, used, repaired, altered, or installed.
