U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation Grants Program

The U.S. Embassy in Khartoum is announcing an open competition for organizations to submit project proposals for funding through the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) to carry out projects to preserve cultural heritage in Sudan. The AFCP Grants Program supports the preservation of archaeological sites, historic buildings and monuments, museum collections, and forms of traditional cultural expression. • The program will select proposals through a two-part process, with applicants first submitting a concept note and then invited to expand their ideas into full proposal applications. • Eligible project implementers are defined as reputable and accountable non-commercial entities that can demonstrate they have the requisite capacity to manage projects to preserve cultural heritage. • The AFCP will not award grants to individuals, commercial entities, or past award recipients that have not fulfilled the objectives or reporting requirements of previous awards. • The deadline for submitting ROUND 1 proposal to the U.S. Embassy in Khartoum is Tuesday, December 26, 2023, 23:59 (Khartoum Local Time).
