Description

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Cultural Programs Division (ECA/PE/C/CU) seeks to advance international understanding of American values by exposing foreign audiences to innovative and compelling architectural designs that reflect U.S. foreign policy and foster international dialogue on shared global challenges. The selected grantee will manage the U.S. Presentation at International Architecture Biennales in Venice, Italy, and will be responsible for designing and managing the exhibition at the U.S. Pavilion, as well as developing robust exhibition-related educational and outreach activities. Key considerations include showcasing American creative excellence, promoting U.S. foreign policy goals, and advancing international understanding of American architecture and ideals. Some key points to consider: * The U.S. Pavilion at the Biennale is a high-profile platform for illustrating the innovation, ingenuity, high artistic merit, and breadth of the American architectural community. * The grantee will be responsible for conducting a three-day Preview/Inauguration of the Biennale, developing exhibition-related educational and outreach activities, and developing a robust media campaign to broaden the exposure of the exhibition with U.S. audiences. * The grantee will also be responsible for ensuring that all funds are used in a manner consistent with applicable restrictions on funding. * The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Cultural Programs Division (ECA/PE/C/CU) will provide guidance and oversight throughout the project.
