Description
The Miami‑Dade Sheriff’s Office is seeking a qualified general contractor to fully renovate the restroom, locker room, gym, and Desk Operations Center at its Kendall District facility. The scope includes demolition, asbestos survey/abatement (if needed), new construction, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, as well as all permitting, inspections, and site housekeeping. The contractor must comply with the latest Florida Building Code, FM Global requirements, and all local, state, and federal regulations, and must have recent experience in high‑security police facility renovations. Work must be performed between 7 am–5 pm, with any after‑hours work requiring prior approval. The contract is a lump‑sum RPQ valued at approximately $1.2 M, with a 280‑day construction schedule.
