Description

The U.S. Army is seeking solutions for the Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) Weapon System Integrator (WSI). The CAML is an autonomous/optionally crewed, highly mobile, air transportable, multi-domain fires launcher with the potential to augment or replace existing Army launchers. The WSI will be responsible for integrating and testing subsystem components at the system-of-systems level. The solution brief should address the technical approach, qualifications and experience, and ROM price for the proposed solution. Key points to consider: • The CAML system will be capable of Convoy (Manned Leader/Autonomous Follower), Autonomous Waypoint Following, Teleoperation, and Optionally Piloted / Manual modes of operation. • The CAML system will operate in a tactical environment consisting of primary roads, secondary roads, and trails. • The solution brief should include a technical approach, qualifications and experience, and ROM price. • The Government will evaluate solution briefs based on technical approach, qualifications and experience, and ROM price.

Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the tens of millions of dollars, given the complexity and scope of the CAML system. The exact budget will depend on the solution brief and the negotiated contract. Factors that may influence the budget include the technical approach, qualifications and experience, and ROM price. The Government will evaluate solution briefs based on technical approach, qualifications and experience, and ROM price, with experience being the most important factor. The estimated budget range is between $10 million and $50 million, with a mid-point of $30 million. This estimate is based on the complexity of the CAML system and the scope of the WSI role.
