Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to repair fire‑damage to Shelter #1 in Halyburton Park. The work includes demolition of damaged glulam beams and roof components, inspection of remaining structures, replacement of two 5” × 9 3⁄8” laminated arch beams, a 48‑ft laminated beam, new roof decking, fascia, metal roofing, waterproof electrical receptacle, and sealing of all exposed timber. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, and warranties, and must follow EnWood “The Wilmington Shelter” specifications and applicable codes.
• Demolition of damaged structural members and roof assembly
• Installation of new glulam beams, roof decking, fascia, metal roofing, and electrical conduit/receptacle
• Application of clear penetrating sealers and submission of inspection, as‑built and warranty documentation
• Contract term 60 days, payment within 30 days of invoice approval, and strict compliance with safety, insurance, and licensing requirements
