Air Release Valve Replacement Program

The San Juan Water District is seeking a professional engineering consultant to provide services for the Air Release Valve Replacement Program. The selected consultant will provide planning, design, bidding support, and construction support services for the replacement of existing air release valves in the District's retail water system. The program aims to replace 45 air release valves per year for three consecutive fiscal years. The consultant will evaluate 60 air release valves each year and prioritize their replacement based on factors such as deficiency, below-grade venting, location, and utility conflicts. The scope of work includes project management, investigations, environmental compliance, planning, final design, bidding support, and construction support services. • The consultant will provide planning, design, and construction support services for the replacement of air release valves. • The consultant will evaluate 60 air release valves each year and prioritize their replacement. • The consultant will provide bidding support services, including attending pre-bid meetings and responding to bidder questions. • The consultant will provide construction support services, including attending pre-construction meetings and reviewing contractor submittals. • The consultant will prepare and submit various deliverables, including a preliminary design memorandum, final design plans and specifications, and construction cost estimates.
