Description
The State of Maine is seeking quotations for a trailer-mounted hydraulically powered boom reel. The reel should be capable of storing 1500' of 16-22" harbor boom and have a manually controlled overspeed brake. The power pack should be portable, removable, and diesel-powered, with a minimum of 9 horsepower and 8 GPM total hydraulic flow. The trailer should have a maximum 10,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating and be fitted with electric over hydraulic or hydraulic surge brakes. The level winder should be hydraulically powered and able to accommodate 24" boom connections. The boom should be 15, 100' sections of oil containment boom loaded on the reel, with a top cable made of galvanized or stainless steel and a galvanized ballast chain.

• The award will be made to the lowest bid price that meets the posted specifications.
• The State anticipates making one award as a result of this RFQ process.
• The delivery location is the Department of Environmental Protection, 106 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401.
• The expected purchase quantity is two units.
• The State of Maine reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months after the award is officially made.
