Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD) is seeking solutions for Shipboard Isolation Systems (SIS) to mitigate, contain, and prevent the spread of communicable diseases. The SIS will provide a capability to temporarily isolate or quarantine personnel on a shipboard ICU bed or Acute Care Ward bed. The system should maintain negative pressure, provide a physical barrier between medical providers and patients, and allow for the quick and secure delivery of food, materials, and waste removal. The contractor will deliver 15 prototype systems for Phase I testing within 90 days of award, and up to two vendors will be selected for Phase II testing. • The system must meet key performance parameters, including operational size, weight, storage container size, and negative pressure differential. • The system should have a consistent negative pressure differential, provide directional airflow, and prevent the passage of particles from inside the containment system to outside. • The system must meet regulatory compliance requirements to obtain FDA marketing authorization. • The contractor will provide a table form with data rights assertions for all technical data and computer software provided to the Government. • The Government intends to make up to three prototype awards under Title 10 Section 4022 based on availability of Government funding.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is estimated to be between $1 million and $5 million, based on the development and manufacture of 15 prototype systems for Phase I testing and up to 150 systems for follow-on production. The cost will depend on the complexity of the system, the materials and labor required, and the regulatory compliance costs. The Government intends to make up to three prototype awards under Title 10 Section 4022 based on availability of Government funding. The budget will also depend on the number of vendors selected for Phase II testing and the number of systems produced for follow-on production.
