Small Arms Marksmanship Trainer (SAM-T)

The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), is seeking industry input on commercially available solutions for the Small Arms Marksmanship Trainer (SAM-T) and technology refresh of Device No. 3F89. The goal is to deliver a 120-lane, untethered training system that replicates the M18 service pistol. The Government is also seeking input on facility and infrastructure modifications necessary to support the upgrade. • The SAM-T is currently located at Naval Recruit Training Command (RTC), Great Lakes, IL, with 60 lanes. • The future goal is to have 120 SAM-T firing lanes. • Respondents are encouraged to provide detailed assessments based on their experience and expertise. • The Government seeks to determine whether contractors' COTS solutions can accommodate 120 lanes within the existing footprint of the current 60-lane facility.
